Anchor links
Anchor links, also known as "jump links" or "fragment identifiers", let users jump quickly to a specific section within the same page. This is especially useful for long guides or content-heavy pages, improving the experience by letting visitors go straight to the information they need.
Below we explain how to set up these links in your blocks:
Step by step:
1. Open the page and the target block: First, go to the page in Marte Website Builder where the block you want to add the anchor link to is located. Click the specific block that contains the heading you want to link to. For example, if you are editing an "Image & Text" block as in your image, select it.
2. Find the "Heading" section: In the block configuration options, scroll until you see the section labelled "Heading". This is where the block title is set, e.g. "Marte integration with Mailchimp" in your example.
3. Open the "Anchor link" options: Next to the "Heading" text field you will see a three-dots icon (...). Click this icon.
4. Select "Anchor link": When you click the three dots, a small menu will open. In this menu, choose "Anchor link".
5. Set your anchor link: A new text field will appear under the title "Anchor link" and the description "Relative link to this block in this page". In this field, enter the text that will act as the unique identifier for this section. Note: The system automatically adds the # prefix. For example, if your heading is "Generate the API key in Mailchimp", you could use an anchor like #generar-clave-api-mailchimp. Your image shows #integracion-de-marte-con-mailchimp.
6. Save your changes: Once you have entered the anchor text, save the block and then the page so the setting takes effect.
How to use the anchor link once it is set?
To send users to this section from elsewhere on the page (or from a menu), add the anchor text (including the #) to the end of the page URL.
Example:
If your page URL is https://www.martewebsitebuilder.com/guias/mailchimp and your anchor is #integracion-de-marte-con-mailchimp, the full link to jump to that section would be:
https://www.martewebsitebuilder.com/guias/mailchimp#integracion-de-marte-con-mailchimp
